From the founder
“I wanted to understand
what makes plants grow.”
For my HND graded unit, I researched how different light conditions affect the growth and development of plants. That project sparked a real interest in growing.
I kept growing more, until I had more plants than I needed. I started selling the extras locally, and the idea for Clyde Botanics began to take shape.
I’m also concerned about the future of our food supply. Reading about the risks of changes to Atlantic ocean circulation made me think more seriously about how we grow food and how vulnerable crops can be to a changing climate.
Clyde Botanics is my way of turning that concern into something practical: learning, growing and sharing fresh produce with others.
